Returns
At Huddle Prints, we are unable to offer returns for change-of-mind purchases due to the nature of our small business. That said, we fully comply with the Fair Trading Act and Consumer Guarantees Act, and your rights under New Zealand law are always upheld.

Damaged Orders
We’re truly sorry if your book arrives in less-than-perfect condition. Each item is carefully checked before dispatch and packaged with care, however damage can occasionally occur during transit.
Although delivery is handled by third-party couriers and postal services, we recognise that issues may arise at any stage of the process. If your order arrives damaged, please email huddleprints@hotmail.com within 14 days of receiving your order, including:
- Clear photos of the damage
- A short explanation of the issue
If your parcel has not arrived, please allow up to 14 days from dispatch before getting in touch.
All claims are assessed individually. Please note that if tracking confirms delivery, we are unable to replace or refund lost parcels — in these cases, you will need to contact your local postal service for further assistance.
Requests for exchanges or returns must be submitted within 14 days of delivery, as confirmed by tracking.
What Is Considered Damage
The following issues are generally eligible for return or replacement:
- A split or broken spine
- Missing or torn pages that affect the readability of the book
- Rips, tears, or cuts exceeding 1cm on the front cover or dust jacket
- Large scratches or gouges on the front cover or hardcover
- Manufacturing faults such as missing embossing or significant foil loss
- Severe dust jacket creasing measuring 20mm or more
- Crushed corners or edges measuring 15mm or more
- Large dents measuring 15mm or more
- Missing an author signature when one was advertised
What Is Not Considered Damage
The following are regarded as minor wear or natural variations and are not eligible for replacement:
- Loose dust jackets
- Small marks, light scratches, or white spots on the back of the book or jacket
- Light creasing on dust jackets under 20mm
- Minor foil fading or small areas of foil loss
- Slight scuffing along edges
- Small marks or scratches on the top or bottom edges
- Slightly blurred sprayed, stencilled, or digitally printed edges
- Small areas of missing foil on foiled edges
- Slight page waviness
- Minor ink bleed
- Small folds or creases on the spine, dust jacket, or corners
- Damage to blank pages only
- Misaligned sprayed edges measuring 4mm or less
Printing & Production Variations
Some finishes naturally show minor wear due to the printing and binding process and are considered normal, including:
- Metallic edges or dust jackets, which are more prone to surface scratches
- Minor cutting marks or paper variations beneath sprayed edges
- Slightly off-centre tip-in pages, which are added after binding
These characteristics are common and are not considered faults.
Refunds
Once your return has been received and inspected, we’ll let you know the outcome. Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to process the refund.
